We are always happy to answer your questions!
We do ask that you please take the time to review our full website before sending us an email.
GENERAL
We are new members of RSC, what equipment does my player need?
U3 - U6: All players must supply their own appropriate footwear and shin guards. Both cleats and running shoes are allowed in these age groups.
All players will receive a sponsored RSC uniform (jersey, shorts & socks) and a size 3 ball; theirs to keep
Important note: The uniforms may not fit all players as sizes are limited to what we receive from the sponsor (Tim Hortons).
U7 +: All players must supply their own shin guards and soccer cleats.
Recreational players All players will receive a sponsored RSC uniform (jersey, shorts & socks); theirs to keep.
Representative players are responsible for purchasing a Raiders uniform (Details will be shared with players when teams are formed).
How do I know which age group to register my player in?
The youth age groups are determined by the player's birth year.
This can be calculated by subtracting the year the season begins by the player's birth year.
Example: A player born in 2009 will be a U17 in 2026 (2026-2009).
*Our registration system will automatically calculate the player's division based on the account information submitted.
Can my player be put on the same team as a friend or family member?
Recreational Programs:
Siblings will automatically be put on the same team if playing in the same division.
Other special requests can be submitted at the time of registration. Friend requests will be only be considered if both parties make the same request; Please note that they are NOT guaranteed.
Representative Programs:
We do not accept friend requests in the Representative program. When there are enough players and coaches registered to field multiple teams within an age group, players will be rostered onto teams based on their skill level.
Why am I being charged a Program Development Fee?
In order to accommodate the continued growth of our membership, maintenance of our existing facilities and plans for future expansion, the Club introduced a Program Development Fee in 2023. The fees will only be charged once to each account during the registration process (Winter Programs $25; Spring/Summer Programs $50).
Do I have to pay the Program Development Fee to be added to the waitlist?
Yes, you are required to pay the Development Fee when registering for the waitlist. If the player does not have the opportunity to play, the fee will be refunded.
Are parents/guardians expected to participate?
We are always looking for volunteers! Without the participation of parents/guardians, soccer would not be possible in our community.
Whether you volunteer to be a coach, a team manager or assist the Club in other ways, your participation is always appreciated!
All registered U3-U5 players must have a parent/guardian actively participate in all sessions.
My player is interested in playing on a Representative Raiders team. How do I register?
The online registration for our summer programs open every January.
The assessments for our representative teams are held in February. All registered players will be expected to attend these sessions in order to be considered for the Raiders team in their age group.
Please see 'REP' tab for more information.
