Walking Soccer
Our new Walking Soccer Program is a great way to stay active!
Walking Soccer offers a slower, low-impact version of the beautiful game suitable for all skill levels and ages, especially those with mobility or health concerns.
About the Game
Walking soccer is a modified version of the standard game intended to promote health and safety in an inclusive recreational setting. It is a non-contact sport designed for participants of all ages and abilities and provides an opportunity for both new and experienced players, particularly those with mobility and/or health limitations, to rediscover their passion and to continue to play the ‘beautiful game’.
The key differences are that running and jogging are not permitted, the ball cannot travel above head height, and no physical contact is permitted (including blocking and tackling).
Winter Program Information (2027)
Location: ALL sessions will be held at the Twp of Russell Sports Dome
Winter Season: Tuesday January 5th - Tuesday March 9th (6:00pm-6:50pm)
*NO session on Tues Feb 16
Registration CLOSES: December 20th, 2026
Important Indoor Program Reminders:
~There is a zero-tolerance policy in effect for jewelry of any kind. This includes watches, fitness trackers, rings, necklaces, and earrings.
NO exceptions for newly pierced ears.
~All players will receive an RSC winter program t-shirt; theirs to keep.
~Players must wear CLEAN indoor cleats/running shoes and shin pads to all sessions.
REFUND POLICY
Indoor Programs: A full refund (minus credit card processing fees and program development fees) will be provided up to January 1st if written notice is received by the Club Registrar (rsclub@russellsoccer.com).
Thereafter, a minimum administration fee of $45.00 as set by the Board of Directors will be charged to cover the cost of equipment, uniforms and administration.
After the first day of programming, no refund will be given except under exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Board of Directors.
