Welcome to the Russell Soccer Club

The Russell Soccer Club (RSC) is the largest organization in Russell Township, with 1427 players taking to the fields in 2011. To run all of our programming we relied on the enthusiastic support of more than 200 coaches, over 60 referees and dozens of team managers, age-group coordinators, board members and other volunteers.

The club is busy getting ready for the 2012 season. Last week was the official kickoff registration weekend and 911 players registered.  Please ensure that you get your registration forms in before March 1 to avoid the late penalty and to ensure that you are not placed on a waiting list.

We are looking for House League coaches for all age groups.  No experience necessary &endash; just enthusiasm! The club provides clinics and support for all of our coaches.

The club is very pleased to report that the Field of Dreams project is now complete. The transformer was installed last November and last weekend the lamps were aimed so our new full field is ready for the season.  The total project, three fields and one set of lighting, cost $307,800. And, as a result of the excellent support from our members and local organizations, the Field of Dreams is 100% paid for.

The club is grateful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Russell Township, Russell Police Village Trustees, Scotiabank/scotia McLeod, the Lion’s Club, the Upper Canada District School Board, Russell High School and the members of the RSC for making our Field of Dreams a reality.  Special thanks to Dulepka Crane Rentals and RMS Rents for supplying the equipment needed to install and aim the lights.
