Directions to Russell

From Ottawa

  1. At the Hwy17/417 split, take the 417 East towards Montreal.

  2. Exit at Boundary Road #96 and turn right (south) onto Boundary Road.

  3. Stay on Boundary Road for approximately 15kms until the 4-way stop. Turn left onto Craig Street.

  4. Follow Craig Street until the 3-way stop sign in Russell.

  5. Turn left onto Concession Street. Near the end of the village, on the left side, you will see the St. Joseph School followed by the Russell High School. The playing fields are behind the schools; parking is available at both locations.

From the 401

  1. Exit Highway 31 north; turn right onto highway #6.

  2. Go through Metcalfe and continue on highway 6 until you come to a 4-way stop sign (about 5-7 minutes past Metcalfe).

  3. Continue straight, past 4-way stop (onto Craig Street), follow Craig Street until the 3-way stop sign in Russell.

  4. Turn left onto Concession Street. Near the end of the village, on the left side, you will see the St. Joseph School followed by the Russell High School. The playing fields and the Russell Community and Sport Centre (RCSC) are behind the schools; parking is available at both locations.

PLEASE note the no parking/fire route signs.

Field Locations

Russell Public School Field: Turn right on to Mill Street (first right as you enter the Village of Russell) the school is on the corner. There is parking in front of the school.

St. Joseph's and the Russell High School fields: Continue on Craig street until the three-way stop. Turn left on to Concession Street. Drive past the arena. The soccer fields are behind the two schools on the left (St. Joseph and Russell High School).

On-Site Facilities

Located at the main soccer field is the RCSC which houses washroom facilities and a canteen. During tournaments, the canteen will be open for the purchase of snacks, drinks, hamburgers and hot dogs.

Local Amenities

Russell has two restaurants, at the corner of Concession and Castor. A Tim Hortons is located in Embrun, a 5-7 minute drive east on Castor Street (on the left just after the stop lights in Embrun).

There is a small playground next to the Arena (on Concession Street) as well as a larger playground behind the soccer field on Loucks Street (Keith Boyd Park).
